The Ovenden ward dataset includes the ward map; demographic profile; Public Health England local health report; Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) factsheet; Public health data; elections data and maps; anti-poverty data; and other ward data.

Ovenden ward is a mile to the north of Halifax town centre and is predominantly residential. There are industrial areas mainly in the east of the ward along Shay Lane. Settlements include Furness, Wheatley and Lee Mount. Shroggs Park is close to Lee Mount. The main road through the ward is the Halifax to Keighley A629 road.

MSOAs and LSOAs do not fit exactly into ward boundaries. The Office for national statistics (ONS) define a 'best fit' for each MSOA and LSOA to determine which ward they sit in. This file shows the ONS best fit as at 31 December 2018. The file also includes the E codes for each ward, MSOA and LSOA.
