Data showing total number of highway claims and payments for carriageway, footway, vehicles, motorcycles and potholes. 'Payments' includes all legal costs, disbursements and compensation.
Data is published for 5 years up to and including 2024/25. The data will be updated annually in August/September to include the most recent complete year.
Highway claims and payments - carriageway and footway (239 bytes)A data set which shows the total number of highway claims (carriageway and footway), number of those claims conceded, and payments made for vehicles, bicycles and personal injuries for incidents occurring in the year stated. 'Payments' includes all legal costs, disbursements and compensation. “Conceded” means claims in which the council is legally liable to pay compensation. (Not all claims are finalised. Liability may still to be decided or liability has been agreed but settlement amounts still under negotiation) Data from 2020/21 to 2024/25.
