Year 1 (Y1) primary school pupils phonics data who met the Expected Standard for Phonics by School Ward for the period 2013 onwards.The data is by school location, rather than by pupil residence. In determining, which ward the data relates to, a Schools list by wards is available. The data source is the National Consortium of Examination Results (NCER).

There will be local (district) elections on 7th May 2026 for new wards following a Local Government Boundary Commission review. The ward information on this page is based on ward boundaries that predate these elections. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is due to publish 2026 ward boundary information in June/ July 2026. After the ONS have done this information published on this page will be based on the new ward boundaries.
