Skircoat ward is to the south of Halifax town centre, and is mainly residential. It includes the neighbourhoods of Bell Hall, Manor Drive, Huddersfield Road and Spring Hall, plus Long Wood on the escarpment overlooking the Calder Valley. There are local retail centres at Bell Hall and Skircoat. The Calderdale Royal Infirmary is within this ward.
