A flurry of activity was seen at #Floodhack16 at the ODI Node, Leeds on 11th and 12th March.

The idea of the event was to develop innovative tools to support anyone who has an interest in flooding detection, response, resilience, analysis and recovery through the use of data and technology.

More than 70 data scientists, developers, academics, flood risk management consultants, local authority experts and geographers attended the two day event  representing organisations as diverse as Friends of the Earth, Hebden Hack Space, Ordnance Survey, Arup, Bradford, Calderdale and Leeds City Councils.
